eBay Global EasyBuy India Review - Deterioration In Service
October 11, 2010
I have been a regular user of eBay Global EasyBuy from India for over one year. When the service started, it was pretty good and I recieved all my buys without any issue.
However, for the past few months, the service from eBay Global EasyBuy has been pretty bad. So I wanted mention it in a review of eBay Global EasyBuy in case someone was looking for reviews in order to decide whether to proceed or not.
In the past two months, I ordered 6 items and of that I received only 3. That is a 50% success rate which does not bode well. The trouble does not stop there.
I requested refund for items (through PaisaPay) and two of the requests were put on hold with a note that "Refund request put on hold as seller has appealed against refund request."
One of the request was subsequently approved but the other one is still on hold.
So not only do you not receive the items, there is also a chance that you'll lose your money.
So when I looked at the ratings on eBay for Member id i2cworld_inc3 (the eBay Global EasyBuy seller), I noticed the following increase in negative rating percentage which seem to suggest that my experience is not an isolated one or a coincidence.
As of this writing (October 12th, 2010) % of negative review:
Past 1 month : 11.77%
Past 6 months : 5.47%
Past 12 months : 3.75%
Notice how bad it has gotten recently.
When I looked for an alternative to eBay Global EasyBuy, I came across 20 north indiatimes (http://shopping.indiatimes.20north.com/). I have now ordered 4 items from 20 north and so far there has not been a problem. It seems like 20north sources its products from Amazon.
Bottomline: Till eBay Global EasyBuy gets its act together, try to avoid it otherwise you'll be risking your money.
